Bio : Rori Gallagher is an independent radio reporter and producer based in Northern California. Her work has aired on National Public Radio, The California Report, KQED, and KALW.

She was previously a producer/director at KQED Public Radio in San Francisco, where she directed KQED\'s daily statewide news program The California Report and produced KQED\'s morning newscasts in addition to contributing stories to KQED\'s local and statewide programs. Bio : Dan Gediman is a reporter and producer whose work has been heard on All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Fresh Air, Marketplace, Soundprint, Jazz Profiles, and This American Life, for which he produced a profile of his brother, a Tom Jones impersonator. Bio : My husband Hal and I started producing stories for public radio in 2002. We often work together--of late we\'ve been working on a series of stories for Marketplace with a PI-noir theme. We\'ve collaborated on pieces for Studio 360 and Savvy Traveler featuring such exotic locales as Belize and Memphis. (Think Memphis isn\'t exotic? Have you *been* there?) In addition, I\'ve produced my own pieces for Nashville Public Radio, Weekend America, Marketplace, and Only a Game.

I also enjoy writing essays for print media and my personal blog.

In the \"Work for Love, not Money\" category, I co-translated and edited a wonderful memoir by a WWII Soviet combat airwoman-war hero with whom I once shared vodka out of a canteen. The memoir came out in March, 2009, under the title, \"Red Sky, Black Death: A Soviet Woman Pilot\'s Memoir of the Eastern Front.\"

Bio : Daniel Grossman has been a print journalist and radio and web producer for 20 years. He holds a Ph.D. in political science and a B.S. in physics, both from MIT. He was awarded a Ted Scripps Fellowship in Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he studied climate science. He has reported from all seven continents including from within 800 miles of both the south and north poles.
